Riddle in the Sands: Thousands of Strange 'Nazca Lines' Discovered in the Middle East -- Secret History -- Sott.net
Satellite and aerial photography has revealed mysterious stone 'wheels' that are more numerous and older than the Nazca Lines in countries such as Syria, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
The structures are thought to date back 2,000 years, but why they were built is baffling archaeologists and historians.
Hidden: Thousands of people have probably walked past the structures and not realised what they were
'In Jordan alone we've got stone-built structures that are far more numerous than the Nazca Lines, far more extensive in the area that they cover, and far older,' David Kennedy, a professor of classics and ancient history at the University of Western Australia, told Live Science.

Doctor Who Analogy
The Doctor is an adventurist. He travels the universe and time as a tourist, sometimes mucking about and making a mess, even hurting others. He has even been accused of murder. The Doctor, I thought. A killer? A danger to society?
I am reminded of America's adventures throughout the world, bring democracy to countries, whether they want it or not. They force their ideals upon others, often at great cost of life and liberty.
Will there ever come a day when all of the nations of the world come together to do something to truly protect the world?
If we can see that the Master is not necessarily the villain he is made out to be, could the Doctor be worse than he imagines himself?

New images of the Apollo 12, 14 and 17 landing sites are the highest resolution pictures ever of human forays onto another world, as seen from a birds eye view — or in this case, a satellite's eye view. The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter dipped to a lower altitude, just 21 kilometers (13 miles) over the lunar surface.
"We like to look at the Apollo landing site images because it's fun," said LRO principal investigator Mark Robinson at a media briefing today. "But LROC (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera) is looking at the whole Moon, and we have now taken 1,500 of these very high resolution images from all around the Moon which will help scientists and engineers to plan where we want to go in the future."
