Former Austin Powers actor Joseph Son convicted of Kidnaping

Come on. This is just fucked up. Really.

Convicted: Joseph Son played the role of Dr Evil's handyman 'Random Task' in the 1997 film 'Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery'.

An actor who appeared in the first Austin Powers film is facing a life sentence after being convicted of taking part in a brutal rape.

Joseph Son, 40, was found guilty of raping and torturing a 20-year-old woman after she was abducted near her home in Huntington Beach, California.

Son, a mixed martial arts fighter, played the role of Dr Evil's handyman 'Random Task' in the 1997 film 'Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.'

He was arrested three years ago after DNA linked him to a rape attack carried out on Christmas Eve in 1990.

Son and an accomplice tortured and repeatedly raped their young victim before releasing her with her knickers tied around her eyes.

The incident took place in 1990 before Son made his film debut in the spy spoof film.

He was charged with the rape 18 years later after being linked by DNA taken at the crime scene.

Son had been arrested on an unrelated vandalism charge and gave a DNA sample.

Prosecutor Eric Scarborough said Son was sadist who took pleasure in terrifying his victim.

During the trial the girl, now aged 41, said son told her: 'It's Christmas. This is your lucky day.'

Son was initially charged with multiple sexual assault charges and faced a maximum sentence of 275 years to life in prison.

But many of the charges were dropped because the statute of limitations had expired.

His co-defendant in the case Santiago Gaitan, 40, pleaded guilty to rape, kidnapping and other charges, and was sentenced to 17 years and four months in prison.

Son has been told he faced from 15 years to life when he is sentenced on September 19th.

He had a scene in the 1997 Mike Myers 'Austin Powers' film, when as character "Random Task" he threw a shoe at Myers before he was subdued by the character played by actress Elizabeth Hurley with a bottle of champagne.

The scene is a spoof of 'Odd Job,' a similar-looking character who threw a lethal bowler hat in the James Bond film 'Goldfinger.'

Trojan Asteroid Shares Orbit With Earth

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory California Institute of Technology

The elliptical path, along, the Earth's path around the sun, makes me think that it could be a former satellite of Earth, that impacted with our only moon, and was thrown off of the Earth's gravitational pull, but was unable to escape that of the sun. It continues to rotate around an object that does not exist, or one that has abandoned it.

Imagine that a wheel has come off of your car while traveling down the road. The car and the wheel may still travel along the same path, but are no longer connected.
